Natural Factors Ultra-Lax is a gentle herbal laxative formula that may help improve bile circulation and relieve constipation.
Eating the correct foods and drinking plenty of water may not be enough to achieve normal bowel movements for some people experiencing constipation.
Ultra-Lax is a gentle laxative with senna, cascara sagrada, licorice root, peppermint leaves and oil, gentian root, and rhubarb root.
Traditionally, Native American tribes used cascara sagrada bark as a natural laxative. And Senna has similar properties to encourage bowel movement.
Licorice is included to help promote the digestive function.

The suggested use for Ultra-Lax is to take one tablet at bedtime. And if you do not have a bowel movement by mid-morning the next day, take another half tablet.
1 tablet contains:
Senna (Cassia angustifloia), powdered extract 4:1 (leaf) 60mg
Cascara sagrada (Rhamnus purshiana), powdered (bark) 130mg
Licorice (Glycyrrhiza glabra), powdered (root) 40mg
Peppermint (Mentha piperita), powdered (leaf) 15mg
Gentian (Gentiana lutea), powdered (root) 5mg
Rhubarb (Rheum palmatum), powdered (root) 4mg
Peppermint Oil (Mentha arvensis) 1.2mg
Other Ingredients: Di-calcium phosphate, cellulose, calcium carbonate, calcium silicate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate (vegetable grade).
Contains NO: corn, dairy, soy, wheat, yeast, artificial preservatives, sweeteners or color.
Adults: 1 tablet at bedtime. If bowel does not act by mid-morning the following day, take another tablet. Do not take any type of laxative for more than a week, unless specified by a health professional. Not to be taken within 2 hours of other medications.
Do not use if you develop diarrhea, loose stools, abdominal pain, nausea, fever, vomiting or other symptoms of appendicitis. Overuse or extended use may cause dependence for bowel function. Do NOT use if you are pregnant or nursing. Keep out of the reach of children.
