Back in 2006, researchers from Cornell and Stanford Universities stated that three common asthma inhalers, containing the drugs salmeterol and formoterol, should be taken off the market because they were responsible for causing four out of five asthma-related deaths each year. The drugs cited were Serevent, Advair, and Foradil. Many medications for asthma have unwanted side effects. Asthma inhalers for instance include jitteriness, nervousness and upset stomach.
